Steps to make to make Bombay Biryani

  1. 1. Add chicken and all list 1 ingredients in a bowl….marinate this for almost 1/2 hour.
  2. 2. Finely slice 2 onions, fry them on slow to medium heat until golden brown.
  3. Take them out, set a side
  4. Soak basmati rice for half hourc
  5. Cut potatoes on 4,fry them until tender.
  6. Add 1/2 cup oil in a pan add marinated chicken and half fried onion….keep half of them of end layering.
  7. Stir it on high heat until all extra juices evaporates, then cook it on slow heat until chicken is tender
  8. Turn off the heat add fried potatoes on top.
  9. Take sliced tomatoes,fry them with 2 tbsp oil on high heat for 2-3 minutes
  10. Add these on top of potatoes
  11. Fill a pan with water,add all list 3 ingredients let it boil
  12. Add half hour soaked rice.boil them until half done
  13. Strain them.
  14. Add half chopped coriander and mint on chicken gravy.
  15. Add rice, mix milk and yellow food colour…add on it, also add 1 tbsp kewra water
  16. Now add remaining chopped coriander and mint with fried onions
  17. Now with tight lid cook it first on high heat for 1 minute then on slow heat for 10 minutes
  18. Open it and take out biryani from sides of the pan…you can see rice are nicely done
  19. Serve with any yogurt raita you like.
