- 1 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Green cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder
- 1/2 tsp Mace powder
- 1/8 tsp Yellow colour
- 3-4 tbsp Lemon juice
- 3-4 tbsp Milk
- 1 kg Rice
Instructions to make to make Memoni Biryani
- Soak rice for few hours.
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Add in onion and fry till light golden.
- Take out half of the onion.
- Add ginger garlic, coriander powder, turmeric, salt and chilli powder.
- Stir them well.
- Add in meat and fry well.
- Add in water and cook covered till meat is tender and water evaporates.
- Cut potatoes into 2 pieces and boil with colour.
- Add potatoes, fried onion, tomatoes, coriander, mint, colour, kewra, milk, yoghurt,plums, green chillies, cardamom powder, nutmeg and mace.
- Cook covered for 7 minutes more.
- Boil rice with whole garam masala.
- Spread half of the rice in a pan.
- Add in meat masala.
- Cover with remaining rice.
- Cook covered on dum for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot.
