- 1 kg Mutton
- 1 cup Thick Curd
- 4 tsp Green Chilli Paste

- 1 Tomato
- 1/4 cup Fried Onion

- 2 tsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander (Chopped)
- For Rice
- 2 cup Long Grain Basmati Rice
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 Cinnamon (1"piece)
- 2 Green Cardamom
- 1 Clove
- For assembling the Biryani
- 1/4 cup Milk
- 1 pinch Saffron
- 1/2 cup Golden Fried Onion
- 2 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves
Instructions to make to make Easy Mutton Biryani
- Make a paste from green chilli, coriander leaves, tomato and fried onions.
- Wash mutton pieces well and add curd in it.
- Add ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt.
- Keep marinade for 2 hours.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
- Add the marinated mutton, tomato paste and fry on high heat for 4-5 minutes, then add 1 cup of water and pressure cook until mutton is tender.
- Heat ghee in a pan and put whole garam masalas.
- Add washed rice and fry for a minute.
- Add water and salt and cook the rice until it is 90% cooked.
- Transfer the cooked mutton in a heavy bottom pan.
- Add the rice and layer it over the mutton evenly.
- Now again make layers of cooked mutton and rice.
- Sprinkle saffron soaked in milk, golden brown frief onion and coriander leaves on top.
- Cover the pan tightly with a lid, place the pan on a very slow heat for 10-15 minutes.
- Serve hot mutton biryani with salad.
