Steps to make to make Chicken Pulao

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Fry onions until light brown. Add all whole garam masala and let it crackle.
  2. Add ginger and garlic paste. Add chicken and fry well until colour changes.
  3. Mix all spices in yogurt and add to chicken. Mix well. Add quartered potatoes and let them cook until tender. If needed add a little water.
  4. Wash and soak rice according to rice type. When chicken is tender, add rice to pot. Add 3-4 cups of water. Let cook at medium flame.
  5. When water is absorbed, add chopped green chillies. Mix food colour into kewra water and spread all over the rice.
  6. Turn flame to low and cover pot, let cook on dum for 10 minutes.
  7. Pulao is ready. Dish out, and serve with salad, and raita. Enjoy!
